BEYOND CENTER OF GRAVITY TECHNOLOGY. In the closed position, the Crimson Talon expandables’ unique design makes it physically impossible for the blades to open in flight. How is that? The blades center of gravity actually extends beyond the center line of the ferrule, thus forward momentum keeps the blades closed rather than encouraging in-flight deployment.
CONSERVED ENERGY. Energy loss typically occurs in flight from wind resistance, during penetration, and during blade deployment. Crimson Talon addresses all three of these concerns, maximizing kinetic energy conservation. First, the low aerodynamic profile not only reduces drag, but results in a true field tip flight and accuracy. Second, the razor like tip designs require less kinetic energy during penetration. Third, the unique deployment system and curved blade design further reduce the loss of energy at impact and during the delivery of a devastating 2” cut.
